A sweet intimate coastal wedding on the shores of Oahu. This beautiful day and charming ceremony has to be some of the dreamiest moments of a destination wedding in Hawaii.
Madeline and Keolu’s wedding in Oahu, Hawaii was such a lovely day. We start off with the getting ready moments of Madeline in her hotel room. Madeline’s loved ones were with her, helping her getting her bridal pieces on.
Soon, it was off to the beach! The beaches of Hawaii are the main setting for today’s overall festivities. Madeline carefully maneuvered around her soon-to-be husband for their emotional first look. She comes up behind him with her lei po’o on and calls out to him to turn around. The two embrace and share a private moment before it’s off to the ceremony.
Within the large lawn, rows of chairs are set up. This is truly the meaning of an intimate, but charming small wedding here in Hawaii. In a place where weddings are glamourized and big, this wedding had the most important moments valued within—friends and family close by to witness the ceremony. Grandparents, children, parents, and the couple walked down the aisle. Flower petals flowing about in the wind and the calming lull of the ocean at their feet, Madeline and Keolu said their vows and practiced in traditional ti leaf wedding ceremony. Soon, they shared their love with a kiss and thus became husband and wife!
