There was so much love and laughter during this sunrise maternity photoshoot. Jenn and Tommy are so fond of each other, I am sure the little one growing inside of Jenn will be cherished dearly. One of the best feelings in the world might be when two best friends end up having a baby together!
Though sunrise sessions are always quite early in the day, it was amazing having this whole place to ourselves for awhile. The sun was absolutely perfect and though it was a little cloudy, it ended up being fantastic. These pictures were taken during the early morning golden hour, which isn’t as popular as a sunset golden hour, but just as beautiful, if not more.
Starting off at the beach, the waves were wonderfully calm as the sun rose. Tommy stroke some humorous poses which made all of us laugh and definitely boosted the energy in this session. You can watch a behind-the-scenes Instagram reel here (all videos were taken by Jenn’s friend who came along for the shoot!).Then, shifting to the field at Kualoa Beach, we got to capture the gorgeous green Koolau Mountains in the background.
Jenn’s white off-shoulder open belly maternity dress really took the spotlight here. Perfect for the contrast of the darker background of the mountains to emphasize Jenn. She was absolutely radiant! Don’t you agree?
Kualoa has to be one of the most beautiful places to shoot. Many weddings are done here because of the beautiful beach and view of Mokoili Island (Chinaman’s Hat). If you’re looking for a place to have at wedding at this location, you can see more about previous weddings done here.
