As we enter the fall and into cooler weather, I find myself missing summer a bit. Summer is the perfect time for the beach, young love, and fun in the sun. Which is exactly why this gallery is a perfect opportunity to reflect on fun memories from the past couple of months!
Aurora and Ethan are good friends of mine that were visiting Oahu. I was really touched that they had asked me to take pictures of them for a couples session. Personally, the best sessions are the ones that come from friends and family. It just means so much more to me that these people I love trust me to capture their memories for them! For this couples session, the three of us decided to head to the westside of the island and take pictures at a beach over there! We got there a little before sunset, so we we were able to get gorgeous portraits during golden hour!
I really loved Aurora and Ethan’s outfits this day as the colors really complimented them! Aurora went with a light blue dress that had flower designs, and Ethan went with a blue speckled button up shirt and black shorts. And a cute little touch I noticed about Aurora is the flower in her left ear. In Hawaiian culture, a flower on the right ear signifies that you’re single and possibly looking for love. In the left ear—as seen on Aurora—it signifies that you’re taken and unavailable.
Luckily for these two, the sunset and skies were perfect! Golden hour was spectacular and the waves were calm. As I mentioned before, Aurora and Ethan are good friends of mine… this session was so special to me! I’m really glad that they chose me to capture pictures of their love story!
