The joining of two difference cultures can be such a beautiful thing alongside love… here’s a sweet beach engagement out in Oahu, Hawaii!
Angelica and George’s engagement in Oahu is one to remember. I absolutely love how different this was from my usual engagement shoots! These two came out and brought some amazing outfits for their photoshoot. (Which, by the way, my engagement photoshoots include 1-2 outfit changes!) I absolutely love when couples try to do something different and fun for their pictures because how fun is this?
We started off with George’s cultural wear for the first half of their photoshoot. Angelic wore a red sari/saree and George wore a cream-colored mundu. These two traditional pieces of clothing are from Indian culture and regionally nearby. I am especially a huge fan of the red sari… the bright colors are so memorable and bold!
For the second half of the shoot, these two switched to Angelica’s Filipino culture. Angelica wore the iconic terno sleeves and George wore at barong tagalog shirt. The terno sleeves are such a famous piece of female cultural-wear in the Philippines that it’d be crazy to not recognize them! To pair, George’s barong tagalog was a see-through mesh with a beautiful golden intricate design on top! They were both cream and beige colored, perfect to coordinate with each other and for the photoshoot out on the beach.
