Sweet family photoshoot turned into a dreamy surprise engagement on the lovely beaches of Maui, Hawaii. Imagine booking a family photoshoot and then getting proposed to?!
I flew out from Oahu recently to capture this little family photoshoot. At least, that was what it was at first. Maui is so gorgeous that I hope to have more opportunities to fly out to the neighboring islands to do photoshoots and weddings! This beach that the family wanted to shoot at was just perfect. Never ending sands and the ocean at the tips of your fingers. It was a bit windy this day, so the waves were quite large.
This shoot was full of gentle smiles and kind people. I couldn’t have been more happier to capture these moments. Halfway into the session, there were surprise guests appearing, including Nestor, which made the grandparents especially happy.
Natalie and Nestor walked a little ways to the ocean and talked amongst themselves. Natalie was a little confused, but such is the goal of a surprise proposal. Nestor said his piece, and with family witnessing, got on his knees and asked Natalie to marry him. She said yes!
The family photoshoot turned into an engagement/couples photoshoot was the best. The sun was perfect and golden hour was doing its work. I couldn’t be happier to capture this Maui engagement/family photoshoot. Congrats to Natalie and Nestor!
