A surprise proposal paired with a song that he wrote for her and the Koolau mountains at Kaneohe, what a beautiful engagement!
Jezreel and Kayla’s engagement amongst the Koolau mountains was absolutely stunning and the cutest to witness. Jezreel is musical and had written a song and lyrics for Kayla and sang to her when he brought her out to the picnic setup. I waited from afar and got to take some pictures… when he asked her to marry him, he wasn’t able to get on one knee because Kayla immediately jumped into his arms and hugged him! It was the cutest ever and I was so happy for them! A couple of their friends nearby came out to congratulate them, and we went to take some pictures.
Being in Hawaii, a lot of people like to go for those beach pictures, however if you go further up north, you’ll find the Koolau mountains. These mountains are lush and ethereal and a wonder to look at. This spot that they chose their pictures to be in was surrounded by trees that this forest-theme they had was so much more fun than the beach pictures that are most often taken here! Something different and fun. They were all smiles and excitement during this shoot, I just love to see when proposal ideas work out perfectly.
